“And they continued steadfastly in the teaching and the fellowship of the apostles, in the breaking of bread and the prayers….And day by day, continuing steadfastly with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house, they partook of their food with exultation and simplicity of heart, praising God and having grace with all the people. And the Lord added together day by day those who were being saved.” – Acts 2:42, 46-47
These verses show us that from the very beginning of their Christian life the early believers were brought into the corporate church life; they did not live individualistically as Christians separated from one another. In light of this pattern of living, we would like to share with you some testimonies of how some of us were saved and then shepherded into a corporate manner of Christian living.
